WB keeps Russian GDP growth forecast for 2019, 2020 at 1.5%, 1.8%
WASHINGTON, Jan 9 (PRIME) -- The World Bank has kept the forecast for Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2019 and 2020 at 1.5% and 1.8%, respectively, according to a report seen by PRIME on Wednesday.
The global GDP rise outlook was lowered by 0.1 percentage point to 2.9% in 2019 and by 0.1 percentage point to 2.8% in 2020.
“In all, global growth is projected to moderate from a downwardly revised 3% in 2018 to 2.9% in 2019 and 2.8% in 2020–2021, as economic slack dissipates, monetary policy accommodation in advanced economies is removed, and global trade gradually slows,” the report read.
